One recent example is Norwalk High School’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, which featured Ballet Folklorico de las Americas. Founded by Colombian dancer Paola Garcia, this dynamic company shares traditional dances, music, and customs from across the Latin American diaspora. Their performances promote peace, cultural pride, and the breaking of stereotypes, while showcasing the vibrant styles of Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian, and other Latin American traditions.
